⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "I finished the book in one afternoon and couldn’t put it down- I had to know what happened at the end!" - StorySara

From a dark, magic-ravaged world comes an enthralling fantasy romance series. Five brothers, last of an ancient Alpha bloodline, each bound by fire and blood to their majestic dragons.

She trespassed on his land. Now she is his to keep.

While travelling to a dragon lord’s lair, Elora crosses forbidden land belonging to the lord’s brother, a viciously territorial alpha named Zendyor.

Known for his legendary temper, Zendyor and his bonded dragon are feared across the realm… and now, because of one mistake, she must be turned over to him.

Though she has suffered tragedies through a long-waged war that would make most crumble, Elora is the ultimate optimist and looks to the future with hope.

But nothing prepares her for the seductiveness of his fury.

Terrified, she tries to avoid him and shine a light against the darkness that permeates his lair, but the alpha will not allow it.

His dark attentions turn into a carnal obsession.

Soon she is caught in his storm, unable to tell the difference between his never-ending fury and his primal hunger for her.

When a sudden opportunity arises to escape him, Elora discovers secrets about herself that crush her eternal optimism.

But Zenyor will not allow her to evade his claim. As his rage reaches heights that threaten the realm, he wants everything she is.

He may be the final battle she cannot survive.

A LAIR SO PRIMAL is the third book in The Last Dragorai, an adult fantasy romance series. This series can be read as standalones but will be better enjoyed if read in order. Includes romance of a dark nature and a HEA.

Read an Excerpt

Before Elora could respond, a piercing shriek tore through the valley, and heavy, rhythmic whipping sounded overhead. Nureen gripped onto Elora as a huge, dark figure soared above them.

It was one of the brothers’ dragons. Gleaming jet black scales, glinted in the bright, crisp morning light. The creature was a wondrous sight to behold. Cries of surprise and delight rang out from the stream of servants in front of them as the creature soared above, but as it rounded, heading back toward them, it angled itself lower.

A man stood on the dragon’s back. Enormous with rippling muscles, he stood like rock, feet wide and his hands clenched into fists. As the dragon angled downward, it became clear that the alpha’s hard glare was aimed directly at Elora.

Her breath left her and she froze, her heart pounding in her chest.

“That’s him,” Nureen gasped. “The scary one.”

The dragon swept by so close, Elora could have reached out and touched him, but he whipped by too quickly, before ascending back up into the sky. Elora, Nureen, and the rest of the staff, turned to watch the pair as they soared away, this time continuing on into the distance.

A chorus of cheers, clapping, shouting, and waving rose from the servants around them, their excitement heightened.

Elora took a deep breath, and Nureen let out a shaky laugh and she released her grip on Elora’s arm.
“As I said,” Nureen said, looking pointedly at Elora, “I don’t think he will ignore you.”

I couldn’t stop reading this book once I started it, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it several days later. I don’t think anything could have prepared me for the savagery and carnality contained within these pages. Excellent doesn’t even come close!
It’s a well written, highly engaging, deeply erotic masterpiece! Enthusiastically recommend!

This had plenty of chemistry and the sex is incredibly hot it’s all animal instinct and ferocity and some delicious dubious consent.
It is well written and can be read as a stand-alone though reading in order will obviously enhance the experience. This was a great addition to the series moving the story further along and I’m excited to discover where this will go next.

Grumpy vs. sunshine; alpha vs. omega

This was an engagin read with likable characters and good character development. Elora is sent to Zendyor's lair after having been caught for trespassing months ago. While Zendyor has a hard time believing Elora had innocent intentions, he cannot help be drawn to her. He is very much a primal alpha who is fiercely loyal to his clan. Moreover, Elora has lost her found family, hence seeking shelter at a lair and wanting to build a like community. The two of them seemingly fit well to each other, with Elora being her sunshine self and somehow complementing and calming Zendyor's anger. She is also friendly and slowly transforms the culture in his lair. While their chemistry seems to start off physical at first, they soon become closer emotionally. The side characters add humor to the story, and we do get to revisit familiar faces from the previous two books. We also get more sub plot about the war between the king and queen.

Could of been better

I really wish so many parts wouldn’t of been in more detail instead of brushed past. I also would of liked a better time to go by as it was a bit confusing to follow along. The book really needs some better editing. I did enjoy to story and will continue the series but it could of been so much bette

WISH I COULD ADD ANOTHER STAR

I really enjoyed Zyn and Elora's story. I felt that the character development was well done. Each character was flawed but show growth. BEST ONE YET. Can't wait for the next one. You really feel like you are a part of this story.

EXCITING NEW DRAGON SERIES

Zoey Ellis is giving us a wonderful new series who can resist Dragons. I loved the development of this story and watching the
characters grow and develope. The love scenes are so heated and exciting. Everything starts off as mistrust and anger but eventually it turns into love and commitment. This is an exciting story. And I can't wait for the next story in the series.

Much better!

Okay, now we are back on track. I was getting a bit worried because I thought A Lair So Loyal was an okay story. A Lair So Primal was longer, which I appreciated, and slightly darker which was great. I think Zendyor and Elora just may be my favorite couple. There’s still two more books to go though and I keep getting more and more excited to read each on

Loving this series!!!

I've been loving this series!!! Book 3. Zendyor and Elora. Elora was magical and sweet in her own way and I'm so glad that each book has so completely different and yet similar. The Goddess element. Super cool! I'm definitely getting fully invested in these stories and I'm super excited for Sethorn and Khyros. I still stand on what I said about these dragorai men being Barbaric and kinda savages sexually. They want. They take. It's crazy! I wonder if Sethorn will even be like that in the next book! I have a feeling that will be the difference!!!! Eeeeeek. I'm so glad to be apart of this Arc team for the release of book 5 so im sorry to end this review quickly. I need to move onto book 4. Just know this series has perfect lust, a bit suspense and many twist and turns. Lots of rules and ancient realities. It's full of adventure and mates! And magic!. I completely recommend this series!!! Thank you! Xoxx

Messes with your mind

This one is the darkest so far. It involves dub-con/non-con. A very twisted read that'll leave you say ''what did I just read?". Elora is the ice to Zendyor's fire.

Love Zyn's story

I really enjoyed Zyn and Elora's story. This story was mainly about finding balance in all things: anger, joy, connection, isolation...I really enjoyed seeing the Stark contrast of the different lairs and the world building w the other characters.

Oh Zen

Anyone else wanted to punch Zendyor every time he appeared? I disliked him greatly in the first book and tolerated him in the second. Look, I knew he was getting a book but did he have to be such a... a donkey?!

Honestly, he was and so was his dragon. The way he treated Elora had me shaking with anger and I wanted to throw my kindle.

But Elora didn't let it get her down. She refused to confirm to what the lair waa expecting her to be, refused to be miserable and then Irealized this book was kust a grumpy one and sunshine one and I got into it.

Elora had trauma with a capital T and Zen needed to get it through his thick brain to deal with it, and to help it.

I was not expecting the shift in him, the soft side of both him and his dragon but man did I love it.

I guess he isn't that much of a donkey at the end...

This romance was a bit darker than the others. Be warned.

An exciting primal lair

Like the first book, this was filled with the backstory of dragorai and his clan and their quest about finding human mates. I never read the second book but it was never a problem. The story continued flawlessly. The title was true to the synopsis and the book was raunchy enough for being primal. Hope to read the next one.

Other best story

I fall deeper in love with this series with every book. Each story is different and the alphas and omegas are so unique. I thoroughly enjoyed this dark, delicious tale and I can’t think of a more appropriate word than “primal.” I expected this story before Tyomar and Oshali, but it makes much more sense this way. I love the writing, the characters, the story itself, in addition to the plot unfolding across the series, and all of the things Elora learns about herself and her past. It’s like a mystery finally being revealed. I really love a strong heroine and Elora is that and more. Her endless optimism seems like such a stark contrast to Zendyor’s unceasing fury. But they couldn’t be more perfect for each other. Zoey Ellis effortlessly weaves magic into every word, so this is on brand for her - excellent per usual. I love each of the stories and they keep getting better and better. Well done and high

Fast paced, strong characters

I really enjoy this author’s writing and was not disappointed with this book. In fact, it may be one of my favorites because the Hero had some redeeming qualities, compared to some of the others in previous series! I liked how the story started with action right away and didn’t slow down. I have not read the others in the series and didn’t feel lost at all. Although I do plan to read those now. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a complimentary

Good Read

This was a well written book! This is the first book I have read from this author and I really enjoyed it. I do think I probably should have a read a book from the series to help me understand the world a little better and I plan to rectify that. The love scenes were great! The building relationship from mistrust and hatred to loyalty and love was amazing to watch. I really look forward to reading the other books in this series. I received this book as a free arc read for an honest review.

Good Alpha/Omega read

This was a good read that kept me interested. Zoey had a different take on alpha dragons which was pretty cool. I plan to read more by Zoey.

Great series

Love the development of this story. The characters are well developed and exciting. The love scenes are heated and exciting. What starts off as mistrust and anger turns into love and commitment. Great story. Can't wait for the next story in the series.

Calming the beast

This was a great book. Elora was stubborn and it costed her greatly because she still went the path she was destined on but for different reasons. I get that she just wanted family but had to be open to what else is out there and the greater good. I was just as surprised by the events that happened which shows they aren’t infallible. But she did point out something that makes me think someone has been working against the cla

The Darkest, so far, Brother is here!

Dragons, fated mates, broody Alpha males, and steamy encounters...

We do not need anything more in this PNR series. 5 Brothers, 5 Dragons, and their mates!
I haven't read the previous books and I got slightly lost in the beginning but I caught up pretty easily.
Zendyor is the epitome of an Alpha and from his interactions with his brothers, he seems to be "darker" and the most "delicious" one. And don't let me start on his dragon, Yorgynel, who gives Elora small gifts.
Is there a Dragon swooning?! Well, apparently there is.

I'm not that intrigued to read the previous books but I'm really intrigued by the last 2 brothers Sethorn and especially Khyros, to follow the rest of the series.

Loved, loved, loved this story!!!!!

A Lair So Primal by Zoey Ellis is the incredible story of Zendyor and Elora. He is the leader of a dragorai community. She is a member of another dragorai group. When her alpha is approached by Zendyor saying that she is his because of the rules….it is agreed and she must go to his group.

Things are different for them both…and strange events are occurring. But, deep feelings grow between them…while things outside of their community threaten to destroy everything!!!

LOVED THIS STORY!!!! Characters were excellent, writing was phenomenal, story line was engrossing!!! Can’t wait for more in this s

Loved the continuation of the overall story

I’ve been a fan of the series and seeing the characters from the previous books is pretty cool. It’s definitely not required to read the previous books, but it does help fill in some gaps on references.

I have to say that this one wasn’t my favorite. Zendyor and Elora’s relationship felt way forced and her animalistic attraction came out of nowhere especially since she was a virgin. Something about that just felt weird.

What I really did like was the continuation of the overall story. The conflict between the Dragorai and the king and queen has escalated and some back story is told.

Looking forward to the next brother and seeing who his mate is and not to mention for the different strings start to come t
