OWN TO OBEY (Myth of Omega #7) PAPERBACK

What a great ending to book one! It does end on a cliffhanger but all the books for this part of the series is out!! He seems to be in my opinion one of the worst alpha's yet but you never know how he'll end!!

This is an amazing series and a must read for anyone who loves Omega stories!! As another reviewer states " this is a DARK ROMANCE, heed the author's warning and do not read this if you aren't into the darker, edgier side of romance. The author pushes the boundaries right from the first chapter - you are warned!". I agree if dark romance isn't for you then be warned but if you are unsure you should start at the beginning and find a new author you will fall in love with!!

This is a trilogy worth reading... unlike many greedy authors who put out stupid, useless cliffhangers, there was no way to make this a standalone.
OH MY GOODNESS.. this was such a great start to the last trilogy in this series. Loved these two.. hated him, screamed at him in my head, screamed at her to fight back, and then WHAM... the author made me love them.
SO much passion between these two and in only book one... YES, YES, YES

This new couple is so amazing! I've been waiting for this one and Zoey never disappoints! I love eveverything about the Omega books and this delivers. With the language barrier she must learn to survive in a completely new culture and land. The chemistry and slow burn between them is so hot! This series will be an Omega masterpiece! I was so excited and nervous and then just angry! I am counting the days til book 2 releases!

Within the confines of this somewhat normal alpha-omega dynamic, I became quickly invested in the the saga of Katashaya, the sweet omega, and Kardos, the typical alpha, used to getting what he wants, and getting it now; who, in the process of taming the omega, tames himself...a common theme in alpha-omega stories.
The cliffy is a big one, and now comes the interminable (and worthwhile!) wait for April's book

Zoey Ellis did it again. Can't wait for the next book. Was nice to see some 'old friends' from the past Omega series.

My very first Zoey Ellis story and i am hooked with the way she can draw you in and have you picture exactly what is happening. Shinmo Kardos is not a light and fluffy hero. Forced consent, seemingly cruel and definitely arrogant. Katashshaya (Shaya) is meeker and more quiet, but underneath you can see her intelligence and determination to survive. This story is book 1 of a trilogy (Own to Obey and Own to Obtain) round out the story. Ends in cliffhanger.

since both the author and series are new to me, I had no idea what I was in for. Now, I'm going to need to backtrack just because this one so captivated me. Did I need the previous stories to start this one? Absolutely NOT. Zoey Ellis created a world all it's own, filled with a King and seven alphas or princes, if you will. We only see snippets of a few of them as the story centered around shinno Kardos and the Omega he traded for, Katashaya and their sea voyage back to his lands. The storyline, plot, and characters are so strong keeping me enthralled to find out what was going to happen, what were their reactions, and what was going to happen next. This one captured my imagination and I'll definitely be watching for the next one.

OMG! What have I been missing? This was my first read from the Omegaverse world and it was terrific. Talk about boss Alphas, a fabulous heroine and a dark romance. Shaya is so wonderful in sacrificing herself for her sister’s sake but ultimately she’s a winner with her bossy Shinno hunk. I’ve got some catching up to do with this dark otherworldly romance series.

I am going to write this review a little different as I don't want to give anything away. I am going to mix the synopsis with my thoughts on it. Kardos has achieved the seemingly impossible; he has obtained an Omega for the Southern Isles. He immediately sets out for home and starts to introduce the Omega to his people's way of life. Shaya sacrificed her safety for her sister and tries to remain strong. That was amazing to watch, her strength and her positive nature. Kardos is so much an Alpha that he plows forward with his plans even when they are crashing and burning. This was a hard book to read as Shaya's thoughts really show how sheltered she was and I just wanted to protect her. Kardos and his actions made me want to kick him in the rear. I was so impressed with Zoey Ellis, she manages to pull you into the characters and their emotions from the get go. I was unable to put it down until I was getting near the end. The reason; it ends on a cliffhanger. I had to walk away for a few days as I just couldn't bear to be left hanging. I will probably wait until the next two are out as cliffhangers kill me. Zoey Ellis is so very talented and I am looking forward to reading more tales in her Myth of Omega series. 4.5 stars for Own to Obey!

I found this to be a intense read that had my emotions
all over the place.
Great plot that draws you into the world.
Chemistry between the characters is steamy at times.

This is the 7th book I have read by this author, she was new to me a few weeks ago when I started Crave to Conquer. It was so easy to get caught up in each book. Anyone can write steamy sex scenes, some just have the right way of putting a universe together that pulls you in to where you never want the stories to end. THAT is what this series has been to me. I am an avid reader, have been all my life. Some books just make you feel like you are right there, in the book with the heroine - and OH! The times I've REALLY wanted to be that Omega! Excellent writing, extremely hot Alpha's - what else could you ask for on a cold winter's night!

As a fan of the Myth of Omega series, I am pleasantly surprised to see a new type of heroine. Shaya is not the prototype knowledgeable espionage savvy Omega. She is innocent naive and good-natured. She doesn't have all the negativity that previous Omega heroines carry around. Unlike them she is willing to trust despite her dire circumstances and hopes for the best in people even when they show their sinister intentions. On the flip side, Kardos is somewhat the typical Alpha but he lacks that something extra that previous Alpha leads of the series have. Maybe because we don't get a play by play of when he is in a rut OR maybe because he hasn't been in a FULL on rut. Though this book is not as heavy on the steamy sex scenes as the other books, it is definitely heavy on the conspiracy web building aspect. I was especially on edge when we start learning about the different roles shinnos play in the Southern Lands and how their society is structured. And why does Kardos have this dying need to be next in line as chief, almost as potent if not greater than the need to be with his Omega??? Isn't this against everything we know about Alphas from this universe?? I am intrigued and definitely hooked on Shaya and Kardos. I can't wait for Own to Obsess!!!!

This book definitely deserves the warning the author, Zoey Ellis, gives about it being dark and possibly disturbing reading. It is definitely on the dark and rather twisted erotic side, but it is also infused with emotional trials and tribulations as well, as the two main characters struggle to understand what exactly their relationship is or isn't. I love a dark romances especially with a man who is truly an Alpha, I’m so glad I found this series by Zoey Ellis! In this book, Kardos was instantly drawn to Shaya. She leaves with Kardos to spare her sister from being separated from her husband. Shaya is an Omega: Determined, passionate and loyal to her family. Kardos is wanting to teach Shaya his lands and language. Spending time with Shaya and their feelings develop, but Kardos is withholding a secret. Zoey is awesome the problem is the cliffhanger, Now I can’t wait for the next book!

This is book seven of the series, but the first book for this couple. It is an Omegaverse story and can be brutal at times; it also ends in a cliff hanger.
Kardos (our H) is a Shinno, a tribe leader who negotiates with King Malloran of the West to acquire an Omega for his own Southern Lands. The Southern has not seen an Omega in over a hundred years. Katashaya ( aka Shaya our h), an Omega, is to be a gift to the Southern Lands Chief. During their long ocean voyage home, Kardo trains Shaya in the language and ways of the South.
Kardos is a very stern, dominant Alpha, and Shaya seems at first to be a very weak character; but she has hidden depths! I admire authors who can create whole worlds, languages and customs, and characters of interest. This world is complex and interesting. That said, this book was not as good as her others. The start was good, but the pace slowed and there was too much redundancy. Also, I am not a fan of cliff hangers compelling you to buy the next book. Initially I did not care for Shaya as she was so timid, but she did start showing her stubbornness and became more appealing.

This book was okay. I don't really enjoy reading books in 3rd person so this was a new read for me.
Overall the story was fairly good and if you're into dark romance then this is the book for you!

Zoey Ellis is a new author for me and I can't wait to read more by her. This is a Dark Omegaverse Romance, please be aware of triggers. That being said, I loved it. Well written with great characters and the beginning of a story line that keeps you on your toes. Kardos and Shaya's story here is just beginning. I can't wait to read the next in this series!!!

This storyline is dark, it's a fantasy world, while I enjoy reading about Alpha males this was a little too rough for me to get into to suspend reality and completely get involved in the story.

I like Dark Romances, and this is one. So be warned that if you do not like stories that push boundaries, do not read this one.
I felt that this story took a little to get into. I did not enjoy it at first, but i kept reading and really got into the story.
This is well written and I cannot wait to read the story from the start.

This was a first time read for Ms Ellis and I truly got into the story with zero issues even though I haven't read any of the other books. If they are crafted like this one, then I'm definitely going to be reading them. Inside Own to Obey, you immediately get drawn into Kardos and Shaya's story. Own To Obey does end in a cliffhanger so there is no HEA here. I'm surprisingly alright with that though, because I want to see what is next for these two. I'm hoping the next book will be out soon though. Dark and delicious are the only two adequate words I can use to describe the riveting world Ms. Ellis has crafted for us.

I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Own To Obey in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as the others in this series.

This was a well written quick read. It’s following along with the other books in the series. If this is your genre that you like and you enjoy reading back and dark romances then i would suggest grabbing this book.

One hot read! First of all let me state that this book is a dark romance, it has some scenes that may be triggers.
I found the lead characters to be well written and had great chemistry. The secondary characters were a nice mix and did not hinder the story. Now this does end in a cliffhanger but it is book seven in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I was given this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. I really enjoyed this one, and will be anxiously waiting for more by this author.

When the author says this is a dark romance she is not kidding. This was my first time reading this author and she does not disappoint. There were times reading the book I had to put it down as I was like what is happening here. Dark, Brutal, Steamy are words I would use to describe this book. The sex scenes alone are outstanding but definitely twisted and steamy. I enjoyed the book and will go back and find the other six that came before this one. I am happy with the way the author explains things cause I was a little lost in the beginning. I have to be honest if the author had not put a warning on the book about how dark it was I probably would have not finished it. Some of the seduction scenes were things that could cause nightmares. Shaya was a lot stronger and braver than I thought as the book went on. Kardos was a strange man but the love between the two of them seems to grow and work despite the differences. this author went into great details about every aspect of the book from the characters, customs, the difference in cultures, even the greatest detail of the ship plus so much more. Everything about this book after truly getting into it was easy to visual in my head. When I can start to visual scenes in my head then the book is great. The twist or cliffhanger at the end makes me want to read more.

This is a very dark erotic tale that does end in a cliffhanger. It's a fairly quick read that is very intriguing. Most of the story takes place on a ship as the journey. Shaya and Kardos are good characters. Very interesting dark story.

I ham hooked on this series! Be advised this read is on the dark side and may not be fore everyone. Kardos is negotiating with King Malloron for an Omega for his High Chief. Shaya volunteers herself when her sister is chosen. As they travel back to the Southern Isles, Shaya learns more about the people she will be living with and Kardos. Lots of twists and turns, plenty of drama and intrigue. I was hooked from beginning to end a looking forward to more. I loved it!
