“Has anyone touched you?” The question was grounded out with all the brutality she expected from him.

“No.” Her voice was soft and languid, like her limbs. “No one has and no one will.”

“Good.” His scent wrapped around her, saturated with desire so heady it made her pulse quicken. “I don’t want anyone to even look at you.”

She almost laughed at savage possessiveness in his tone, though his dark expression told her he was completely serious. “You’re not a four-year-old who doesn’t want anyone to play with his toy, Akoro, she said gently.

“Do not reduce our connection to that, Nayara.” Irritation flared in his tone. “You don’t know how much I am holding back from spreading you right here.”

Naya inhaled sharply, her jaw slackening. Heat flared in her lower stomach, and her nipples began to tighten. She did know. She could scent it on him; his arousal, his fierce need. It was almost overwhelming, especially because she wanted him too, even after everything she’d learned.

This ended exactly the way I expected. Akoro and Naya have come a long way from their first meeting. She has overcome trauma and capture, and has found herself a strength that carries through both family and dominion. Akoro's growth has exceeded what I would have imagined. His grasp of power has changed, adjusted to the circumstances and not just the militaristic actions of the past. His willingness to explore a different path shows more vulnerable emotional commitment.

Zoey Ellis has done it again! Ever since her first omegaverse series I have been devouring her books and when I went through all of them I went online to search more omegaverse books like those of Zoey, but alas few write like her.

The way she wrote this story was once again amazing! The worlds she builds are so well done that it almost feels like you are in there with the characters. I loved that we got to see the northern parts and discover what else was in hiding for us in her world.

Moving on to the characters, I have to say that the grovelling, the redemption and the coming together of our alpha and omega was done wonderfully. Zoey was able to give time to this part where it almost felt like you were healing together with them.

I just have to say that once again Zoey did an amazing job writing this story, creating characters that you hate and love and just want to yell at and hug at the same time. I hope she has more in store for us and that we will read stories about the other children as well.

Thank you Zoey for writing this amazing story and for giving them the perfect ending that they needed.
